The Vendée department is one of the most touristic area on the French Atlantic coast. This is why it offers to its visitors new various activities, every year.
The Guyonnière Blog proposes here a list of some new activities of 2015 that should interest you and your family!
- Le Puy du Fou, at Les Épesses : You probably know it now, or at least its name… The famous vendeen them park (recognized all over the world) still offers the famous Vikings, Mousquetaires de Richelieu, Secret de la Lance shows,… but the big new of 2015 is “Les Amoureux de Verdun”: Christmas Eve of the year 1916, in the trenches of the First World War, a soldier is writing to his fiancée:
- Atlantic Wake Park, in l’Aiguillon sur Mer: a new nautical leisure park in Vendée! Discover water sports such as Wakeboard, Kneeboard, Wakeskate,… Intense feelings!
- Biotopia, in Notre Dame de Monts: A 250 sq.m. covered area to discover the surrounding environment (wood and sand dunes) in an interactive and fun way! The point is: getting a better understanding of this environment, to respect it and protect it in a best way.
- Ukulayle Sport Nature, in l’Aiguillon sur Mer: Get on board of an old sailboat and participate (or not) to the vessel manoeuvres ; taste oysters ; have a drink at the sunset ; take an all day picnic,… You choose what is best for your family!
- Indian Forest, in Moutiers-les-Mauxfaits: 4 worlds to discover (Water Jump, Climbing, PaintBall and Défi Fun), with some news for 2015: the D’lir Ball, for a fun and unusual football game, mixed with bowling!.. Discover also the Tyrolienne Aquatique, with which you will cross the water through the air!
- Les Salines, in Les Sables d’Olonne: They are already well-known in the area for their commented boat visits of the salt marshes, and canoe rental. And this year, spotlight on the children! Through the Parcours Historique du Sel, kids solve ecological puzzles and end to harvest salt and become ‘sauniers’.
- Historial de la Vendée, in Les Lucs sur Boulogne: This interactive museum telling the Vendée History welcomes during the season 2015 an exhibition called “Culture TV”. You will see the technical evolution and discover a real TV set.
- Explora Parc, in St Jean de Monts: You know the Paintball? Now discover the Archery Tag! Same rules, but no gun this time! You will feel like Robin Hood and his friends, using a bow and arrows to beat your enemies!
- Natur’Zoo, in Mervent: This 7 ha zoo welcomes more than 40 different species, from tigers to lions ; parrots ; lemurs ; giraffe ; turtles,..! In 2015, a new specie to discover: the Coatis! And admire also the new south-american aviary.
- La Cabane, in Brem sur Mer: This old oyster farm now proposes you to rent Canoes, to discover the Stand Up Paddle or to fish from a canoe/a paddle, in the beautiful landscapes the marshes offer. After the choosen activity, why not taste a few oysters? And the new for the coming summer is the shared Stand up Paddle:
